Real Estate Rebels in Resort Mode: Time to Break Free

Real Estate Rebels in Resort Mode: Time to Break Free

It is my privilege to invite you to the second annual GEM Proptech Getaway in Bend, Oregon. Once again, we welcome you to the luxurious Juniper Preserve resort and legendary Pronghorn Golf Club.

Last year, we hosted twenty of the most curious minds in proptech and combined fun social gatherings with dedicated content and discussions about the intricacies of our industries.

This year we will build on those foundations and bring you more opportunities for group connection time, relevant topics, awesome speakers, and additional enjoyment.

Central Oregon holds a special place in my heart for many reasons; the sweeping views of the Cascade Range, endless hiking and biking trails, as well as crystal clear lakes and rivers. And like everywhere else in the world, we face challenges around occupying our regions' spaces.

Last year’s retreat kicked off with a transcendent bar-side keynote on hospitality from Bill Walshe, who since we last saw him has gone on to become the Executive Vice President and Global Head Of Venue Operations & Development at the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas.

It is almost always a critical time in the real estate industry, and this year is proving to be no exception with a new administration, a multitude of economic levers, and policy changes afoot.

Together we seek not answers, but understanding. GEM is about connecting with peers with a common passion for innovation in real estate technology that has led them to undertaking technology pursuits.

This year, Heather Harmon will lead a discussion on nurturing founder relationships to share knowledge and strategies, while activating them for introductions to investors, users, and staff.

We also hope to introduce you to the concept of peer groups as a way to extend your membership at Geek Estate with a personal/business unlock like no other. The GEM retreat is about camaraderie and calls to action, and time will be allocated for Peer Circle groups to meet privately.

It is our honor to host you at Juniper Preserve as RE/MAX brokers, after navigating the landscape of residential brokerage and retaining our exclusive representation of the developer.

This year includes new venues and experiences on the resort, including the brand new Iris restaurant featuring American cuisine, and the adjacent Blue Bar speakeasy lounge.

In addition to the on location activities like golf, pickleball, and spa treatments, we will be bringing some of you to float the Deschutes River, ski down Mt. Bachelor, and more.

Spring represents a special moment in Bend, when anything and everything is possible. This is your chance to take a step back to work on your business, not in it. I hope that you’ll make plans to join us. Please extend our invitation to your close friends and colleagues too. Sign up!

(**must be a GEM Diamond member to attend, all the more reason to join sooner rather than later)
